Beijing is the only city in China that benefits from the policy advantages of both the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, collectively known as the "two zones". Over the past three years, significant efforts have been made to improve the business environment and to foster greater openness that caters to the needs of foreign investors, enterprises, and skilled professionals.
As a result, the city has attracted an annual foreign investment influx of over USD 100 billion, with nearly 50,000 foreign-funded enterprises operating in Beijing. More than 70 percent of Fortune Global 500 companies have established their headquarters or regional headquarters in the city. Notably, in the previous year, a total of 54 Beijing-based enterprises were included in the Fortune Global 500 list.
The forum also played host to the inaugural roadshow of the World Cold Region Ice & Snow Economic Conference, during which the official conference media account and logo were unveiled, and a joint signing ceremony was held.
